The news on Jackson Chourio isn't getting any better. Milwaukee Brewers manager Pat Murphy spoke about his star 21-year-old outfielder before his team's series opener at Nationals Park on August 1, where Chourio was notably absent as he landed on the 10-day injured list with a strained right hamstring.

The Brewers placed Jackson Chourio on the IL the day prior, Aug. 1, with another hamstring strain. Chourio received a PRP injection and will resume physical rehab Aug. 4 in Milwaukee. His timetable to return is unknown but could be a month or more, manager Pat Murphy said.

Chourio, 21, suffered the injury on Tuesday while legging out a triple. In his first 106 games this season, he had hit .276/.311/.474 (119 OPS+) with 17 home runs and 18 stolen bases. His contributions had been worth an estimated 2.3 Wins Above Replacement, according to the calculations housed at Baseball Reference.
