A North Texas-based company has informed Reunion Tower that it won't be flying drones during the Dallas New Year's Eve bash, less than a week after some of its drones collided and fell from the sky at a holiday show in Florida.

In a statement to WFAA, Dusti Groskreutz, the president of Reunion Tower, said the drone company informed Reunion Tower that it will not be able to fly the New Year’s Eve show "out of an abundance of caution following a recent incident as they carefully review their processes for future shows."

The company in charge of the drone show, North Texas-based Sky Elements Drones, is the same company behind a holiday show in Orlando, Florida that injured a 7-year-old boy when he was hit by a falling drone.
