Cap 2 Fire initially started today at 9 p.m. in Riverside County, California. After being active for less than an hour, it has burned three acres of private land. At this time, there is no data on the containment status of the fire and the cause has yet to be determined.

A quickly growing fire in Riverside County torched more than 500 acres of land and prompted evacuation orders on Monday, according to authorities. Dubbed the Juniper Fire, it was initially reported at 11:28 a.m. in unincorporated parts of Perris, near the area of Idaleona and Juniper roads, Cal Fire said .

Cooler temperatures and humidity are helping firefighters fight the fire, which nearly doubled in size since Monday afternoon.
