Steven Kwan hit a tiebreaking single in the sixth inning, lifting the Cleveland Guardians over the Boston Red Sox 5-4 in a doubleheader opener for their sixth win in seven games.

Allard and Nikhazy both had good springs with the big league club. Allard did it as a spring training invitee on a minor league deal. Nikhazy was the Guardians’ second-round pick in the 2021 draft.

Cleveland Guardians fans looking for the team’s series opening game against the Boston Red Sox on television at 7 p.m. will have to cast their gaze from Guardians TV or tune in via the really old-fashioned way – the radio.
