The Cardinals made sure to double down on the "sellers" label they were given leading up to the final days of the MLB trade deadline. Once again, they were unable to get struggling third baseman Nolan Arenado included in any deals.

Cardinals star third baseman Nolan Arenado was placed on the Injured List on Friday due to a right shoulder straight. The Athletic’s Katie Woo reported on Friday that there currently isn't a timeline for his return.

One day after the Cardinals couldn't find a taker for Nolan Arenado, St. Louis placed the veteran third baseman on the 10-day injured list with a right shoulder strain. Arenado had sought a deal prior to the season but he used his no-trade clause to prevent the team from trading him to the Houston Astros.
