A Philadelphia police officer shot and killed an armed man in the Cobbs Creek section of the city Sunday evening, police said.

Police shot at the man at two separate locations but did not know Sunday night whether he had been hit at both sites in West Philadelphia, including where he allegedly carjacked a pickup truck.

A man is dead after police say a home dispute turned carjacking ended in an officer involved shooting in West Philadelphia Sunday evening.

Police are still looking into exactly what happened but confirm officers opened fire and Spencer Majett was shot in the shoulder. Police say he was also armed but it's under investigation whether he exchanged fire.

Two Police officers were hurt and taken to the hospital while responding to a domestic violence call along East Mount Airy Avenue and Germantown Avenue.

Officers allegedly confronted the 47-year-old suspect and fired at least one shot before he fled the scene in the carjacked pickup truck.
