Nosferatu' director Robert Eggers is directing an adaptation of 'A Christmas Carol,' with Willem Dafoe eyed to play Scrooge.

According to Deadline, Eggers is writing and directing an adaptation of the famous Charles Dickens story with Warner Bros. Nothing is confirmed yet, but Eggers is said to be writing Ebenezer Scrooge specifically for Willem Dafoe.

After hitting a home run during the holidays with his critically-acclaimed new take on the Nosferatu story, Robert Eggers looks to be staying in the Christmas spirit for a new project he has his sights set on.
