Chicago Bears head coach Matt Eberflus promised he would evaluate his staff following the team's 19-3 loss to the New England Patriots, and on Tuesday a change did come down. CBS Sports NFL insider Jonathan Jones is reporting that the Bears have fired offensive coordinator Shane Waldron.

There's only so much a new coordinator can do when taking over at midseason. But after Shane Waldron ("probably too nice of a guy") was fired Tuesday, Bears players are looking forward to Brown's more demanding approach.

Shane Waldron is out after just nine games as the Bears’ offensive coordinator. The Bears have fired Waldron and are replacing him with Thomas Brown, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. Brown previously had the title of offensive passing game coordinator, but now he’ll take over Waldron’s responsibilities and call the Bears’ offensive plays.
