Tata Motors Ltd.’s Chief Financial Officer will take the helm of Jaguar Land Rover, giving the Indian automaker more operational control over its British subsidiary after the departure of its chief executive officer.

Jaguar Land Rover has appointed the finance boss of Tata Motors as its new chief executive, in a move that increases the Indian owner’s influence over the UK luxury-car maker.

(Reuters) -British carmaker Jaguar Land Rover named P B Balaji as CEO, replacing Adrian Mardell, parent Tata Motors said on Monday. Last week, a spokesperson for JLR said Mardell would step down after being at the helm for three years.
