Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker and Lieutenant Gov. Juliana Stratton joined DNC Chair Ken Martin to speak out in support of Texas House Democrats who left their state and came here to prevent a quorum for a mid-decade redistricting map vote meant to create more congressional seats for Republcians.

Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker, a possible 2028 presidential candidate, took in Texas Democrats who fled their state to block a Republican-led redistricting plan.

O n the eve of the 60th anniversary of the Voting Rights Act, Texas Democrats, along with Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker and the Democratic National Chair Ken Martin, are meeting Tuesday to continue the fight against a redistricting plan to add five seats favoring Republicans.
