In addition to the warmth, severe storms will be possible overnight  Saturday night, Sunday night and Monday afternoon and evening. It was a hot and humid Saturday. Highs reached into the low 90s with a heat index hitting 100°.

After a warm and rainy weekend, North Texans can expect continued storm chances next week. A weak cold front will arrive Monday, bring multiple opportunities for rain next week, according to the NWS. A few strong to severe storms are possible, with the greater storm chances in the mix for Central Texas.

A stretch of intense and potentially dangerous weather is headed toward parts of Texas this weekend, with forecasters in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex warning of multiple rounds of strong to severe thunderstorms beginning Saturday night and continuing through early next week.
