Ange Postecoglou has revealed Tottenham are more likely to sign players in January that add squad depth rather than those who will push for a place in their starting lineup. The Spurs manager also went on to explain why he believes the new format of the expanded Champions League has made the January transfer window a harder market to navigate.

Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to put 2024 behind them, with the last two months being a real struggle for Ange Postecoglou’s side to compete in the Premier League with a never-ending injury list.

Ange Postecoglou has admitted that Tottenham Hotspur “need to reinforce” their squad in the January transfer window. Spurs have been hit by an injury crisis with seven players unavailable including first-choice centre-backs Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero as well as goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario.
