Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold’s office will send out the digital sticker to voters enrolled in the BallotTrax program, which allows Colorado voters to receive notifications about the status of their mail-in ballots. The stickers are unlikely to replace stickers included in mailed ballots and at in-person polls.

The digital sticker will be sent to Colorado voters enrolled in BallotTrax once their general election mail ballot has been returned and counted.

The Larimer County Clerk and Recorder conducted the contest for the first time in 2024. To select the winner, the clerk's office narrowed down the choices to the top 10, and then public voting was done using ranked-choice voting.
