Dr. Mehmet Oz, President Donald Trump's pick to lead the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, will face questions in front of the Senate Committee on Finance Friday, before they ultimately take a vote on whether to advance his confirmation.

Dr. Mehmet Oz, the former surgeon and television host, was nominated to head the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

The hearing falls on a busy day in Washington as Congress has until midnight to pass a spending bill to avoid a government shutdown.
