Andrei Vasilevskiy made 24 saves in his 300th NHL win, and the Tampa Bay Lightning stopped Winnipeg’s seven-game win streak with a 4-1 victory over the Jets.

TAMPA -- Andrei Vasilevskiy became the fastest goalie to reach 300 NHL wins, and the Tampa Bay Lightning handed the Winnipeg Jets their second loss of the season, 4-1 at Amalie Arena on Thursday. Vasilevskiy hit the milestone in 490 games, breaking the record set by Jacques Plante (521 games).

Thursday night felt like an awkward high-five for the Winnipeg Jets. Although they intended to make good contact, they just couldn’t hit the mark. The Jets lost just their second game of the season (15-2-0) and watched their seven-game winning streak come to an end after dropping a 4-1 decision to the Lightning at Amalie Arena.
