Arsenal were 2-0 up and coasting to a seven-point lead in the Premier League title race, before they shipped two goals in the final half-hour and drew last-place Wolves 2-2 at Molineux Stadium on Wednesday.
Arsenal won their Sunday match 4-0 against Wigan Athletic. Noni Madueke, Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus all contributed goals in the match.
League-leaders Arsenal blew a two-goal lead at bottom-side Wolves and missed the chance to go seven points clear at the top of the table.
The Gunners’ trip to Molineux wasn’t supposed to take place on Wednesday.
The Premier League title race took another twist at Molineux as leaders Arsenal conceded a stoppage-time equaliser against the division’s bottom club. A seven-point lead over Manchester City went back to five points in stoppage time as indecision — some might say blind panic — in Arsenal’s defence saw 19-year-old Tom Edozie’s effort cross the line after hitting Riccardo Calafiori.
