A bank robber who was released on parole in January after serving three years in prison struck again last week in Manhattan, passing a teller a note that threatened "I will shoot you," police said.

Police are searching for an armed bank robbery suspect. At 3:11 p.m. Wednesday, a white man wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, and tan colored boots (believed to be Herman Survivor brand) entered the M&T Bank,

According to authorities, the robbery happened Friday afternoon at the Langley Federal Credit Union on Jefferson Avenue.

On Friday, March 7, at about 12:30 p.m., Newport News Police Department responded to a robbery at the Langley Federal Credit Union in the 12600 block of Jefferson Ave.

Nikolay Bocharov is incarcerated in Sacramento County for a separate bank robbery there, police said. He’s expected to be extradited to Sonoma County at a later date.

GROTON — Town police are investigating after an armed bank robbery on Long Hill Road Wednesday afternoon, officials say. Disptach was called at 3:12 p.m. Wednesday with a report of a robbery at M&T Bank, Groton Police Chief Luis Fusaro said in a news release.

Police say the suspect was arrested in the South Hill area after allegedly attempting to rob a bank and fleeing from police in a stolen car.
