Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow issued a short message on social media to fans in the wake of his team being eliminated from the playoffs over the weekend. Over on Instagram, Burrow wrote the following in the caption of a picture: “Season to remember, sorry you won’t get to watch anymore. Year 5 in the books.”

The Cincinnati Bengals were eliminated from playoff contention after Week 18 of the NFL regular season despite quarterback Joe Burrow putting together a career-best campaign.

Burrow led the league in passing touchdowns and passing yards, which earned him the passing title for the season. The Bengals, for their part, flexed Burrow's achievement on social media and heaped praise on him in the caption of their post.
