After getting dominated from start to finish by the Los Angeles Chargers in the Hall of Fame game, Detroit Lions fans are happy that we’re on to another weekend of preseason action. While the 34-7 loss is utterly meaningless, it’s best that taste gets washed out as soon as possible, even if Detroit remains near the top of the Super Bowl odds.

This means fans will get to see first-round picks Jalon Walker and James Pearce Jr. make their NFL debut on Friday night. Third-round pick Xavier Watts will also be looking to make an impact as he battles for the team's other starting safety job next to Jessie Bates III.

The Detroit Lions will continue their preseason slate Friday night against the Atlanta Falcons, providing Dan Campbell and his coaching staff with another valuable opportunity to assess roster hopefuls.
