Manchester United's draw against Liverpool could offer a boost as the club work in the transfer market and speculation continues over a move for a new forward in January or the summer

Marcus Rashford is becoming an increasingly large problem or Manchester United as the January transfer window progresses.

The reason behind Ruben Amorim’s decision to freeze Marcus Rashford out of his Manchester United first-team plans has reportedly emerged. Rashford scored two goals in Amorim’s first three games in charge at Old Trafford but now appears to have been deemed surplus to requirements.

Former Manchester United defender, Wes Brown, wants Marcus Rashford to stay at Manchester United amidst interest from Paris Saint Germain and Saudi Pro League clubs. The 27-year-old has scored eight goals in 23 games this season but has struggled to get into Ruben Amorim’s starting 11, since he took over in November.

Rashford made Manchester United's matchday squad ahead of the Red Devils' Premier League fixture against Newcastle United. Although the winger did not make Ruben Amorim's XI, he is on the bench for what could be his first involvement since he played against Viktoria Plzen in the Europa League on Dec. 12.
