US President Donald Trump on Wednesday issued a new executive order that aims to deport any international students on university campuses who have expressed pro- Palestinian sentiments or participated in pro-Palestinian demonstrations.

Jewish Voice for Peace says the order follows the Heritage Foundation’s broader plan to dismantle US civil society.

Civil rights groups and legal scholars said the new measure would violate constitutional free speech rights and would likely draw legal challenges.

Critics say the directive won't actually stop antisemitism, but will target immigrants while cracking down on free speech.
