CM Punk's first WWE world title reign in 12 years lasted only five minutes. Punk overcame a fantastic, grueling match with Gunther at WWE SummerSlam on Saturday only for Seth Rollins to spoil the evening.

A new report from Fightful Select ahead of SummerSlam stated that the planned finish "throughout much of the week" was for Randy Orton and Jelly Roll to win the match. However, at some point before bell time, the decision was made to have the heel team of McIntyre and Paul go over instead.
