Eaton confirmed with Queen City News that its facility off Statesville Road will shutter in August, affecting 76 employees. The power-management company with US headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio, said it informed employees in November 2024 that they are moving operations into other Eaton facilities.

Irish manufacturing company Eaton is shutting down its North Charlotte facility, resulting in 76 job cuts. The layoffs at 5910 Long Creek Park Drive will be effective Aug. 29, according to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act received Monday by the North Carolina Department of Commerce.
