Julian Klausner has presented his first womenswear collection as creative director of Dries Van Noten at the Opéra Garnier in Paris, a setting that reflected the historical influences woven throughout his designs.

At Dries Van Noten, Rick Owens, Chloé, and The Row, collections highlighted signature silhouettes and hero pieces.

Occasionally, a white flower was tucked into a breast pocket or pinned to a lapel. Sometimes a thin tie-silk scarf was knotted around the neck. Toward the end, the tweeds had little sparkles. It was very poet dandy, especially a series of slick tuxedo looks, just slightly undone.

The final leg of fashion month is here, with highly anticipated debuts, too.

The new creative director's debut collection delivered the brand mix of fantasy and restraint, but with a freer hand and bodily sensuality.
