After an altercation, the suspect “forcibly took cash from the teller’s desk” and left the area on foot, according to the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety. The suspect then got into a grey sedan, which headed north on Fulford Street at a high speed.

At 9:58 a.m. Saturday, the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety responded to a report of a bank robbery in the 3100 block of Portage Street. Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered that an unknown male suspect had entered the bank, demanded money from a teller, forcibly took cash from a desk after an altercation and fled the bank on foot.

Police are asking the public for help finding the man who robbed a Kalamazoo bank Saturday morning. Just before 10 a.m., officers with the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety were sent to a bank on Portage Street near East Cork Street for a bank robbery.
