A relatively-little known singer got the boost of a lifetime on Monday when he sang at Donald Trump’s inauguration. The president, 78, tapped Christopher Macchio to perform the national anthem. Described on his website as “America’s tenor,

"For those folks who might not have voted for President Trump, I hope that they'll give me that kind of opportunity to just listen and just really connect."

Macchio has performed for Trump before, including a campaign rally at Madison Square Garden in October and a New Year's Eve party at Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort.
