Another powerful storm system is expected to sweep across a wide swath of the United States, bringing heavy rain to Southern California, heavy snow to parts of the West and Midwest and more snow and freezing rain to the Northeast and New England.

We will likely see a line of strong and severe storms sweep through our area tonight. The Storm Prediction Center is highlighting an enhanced risk (orange - threat level 3 out of 5) for portions of Mississippi and parts of west Alabama today.
