PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The Elk Fire in Klamath County has prompted Oregon state officials to invoke the Emergency Conflagration Act after Level 3 ‘Go Now’ evacuation levels were issued.

As of the morning of July 10, the Elk Fire in Klamath County had burned 2,000 acres and was 0% contained. Levels 1,2 and 3 evacuation orders still remain in place.
