The Secret Service is investigating a since-deleted post on X by Elon Musk in which he wrote Sunday “no one is even trying to assassinate” President Joe Biden or Vice President Kamala Harris following two assassination attempts on former President Donald Trump, Bloomberg reported Thursday.

Billionaire businessman Elon Musk is standing by the sentiment he expressed in a since-deleted post that Democrats weren’t the ones being targeted by would-be assassins when reached by the Washington Examiner.

Elon Musk, owner of social media platform X and CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, deleted a post referencing assassinations of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris early Monday morning. “And no one is even trying to assassinate Biden/Kamala 🤔,” Musk wrote.

The tech billionaire’s comment came after a second “apparent assassination” attempt of former President Donald Trump.

The X CEO posted the inflammatory message over the weekend and was ultimately persuaded, after a chorus of users advised him, to delete it.
