Florida's lieutenant governor flew out to the West Coast to accompany an undocumented immigrant accused of killing three people in a traffic crash.

After the crash, federal investigators gave Harjinder Singh an English proficiency and road sign test — and he failed badly.

Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis dispatched his top deputy to California to oversee the handover of a truck driver accused of making an illegal U-turn that killed three people in Florida.

Harjinder Singh was charged with three counts of vehicle homicide after his jackknifed truck allegedly caused a deadly crash in Florida.

Singh later got a Commercial Driver's License in California, the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) said on Saturday.

DeSantis was joined by attorney general James Uthmeier. DeSantis announced that he is sending Florida’s Lt. Governor Jay Collins to California Thursday, and Collins is going to take possession of Harjinder Singh and bring him to South Florida.
