The cast included heavy hitters like Quinta Brunson, Bryan Tyree Henry, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, and Jaboukie Young-White.

A Pharrell Williams biopic directed by Michel Gondry has been permanently shelved by Universal, just three months before the film’s May 9 release.

The movie was cancelled according to Variety, and a spokesperson for the Virginia Film Office tells News 3 the reports are true.
