It seems as if there’s always something going on with Novak Djokovic at Grand Slam tournaments. Even he says so.

Jannik Sinner (No. 1 ranking) will face Ben Shelton (No. 20) in the semifinals at the Australian Open on Thursday, January 23.Sinner enters the semifinals after winning in three sets, 6-3, 6-2,

Shelton also has fond memories of Australia. The big-serving American made the quarter-finals on his debut in 2023 and has not looked back. The 22-year-old, who has reached a career-high 13th in the world rankings, will compete in his second grand slam semi-final after making the last four in New York two years ago.

A few hours ago Iga Swiatek dropped just three games as she breezed past Emma Navarro to reach the Australian Open semi-finals and continue her bid for a maiden Melbourne title. Five-time major winner Swiatek was ruthless in a 6-1 6-2 victory over eighth seed Navarro.

Novak Djokovic faces Alexander Zverev in the semi-finals of the Australian Open on Friday with the Serb's bid for a record 25th Grand Slam title picking up steam at just the right time.

Swiatek will face No. 19 Madison Keys of the U.S. on Thursday night for a berth in the final. The other women’s semifinal is No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka, the two-time defending champion, against her good friend, No. 11 Paula Badosa.
