The girl’s mother, Jami Hodges, claimed to be unaware of the fall. Hodges was temporarily staying with Lujan, who was caring for four of Hodges’ five children. Hodges allegedly admitted to police to not seeing her 13-year-old daughter regularly while staying at her mother’s home.

TEMPE, Ariz. — Tempe Community Action Agency announced Monday plans to construct a new shelter and food pantry near Apache Boulevard and Price Road.
