Users who haven't got around to buying Apple's short Lightning to 3.5mm headphone jack adapter after eight years are now out of luck, as the iPhone 7 accessory appears to be discontinued.

The Apple Lightning to 3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapter may have bitten the dust, as it’s sold out at Apple’s online store in the US and much of the world, MacRumors reports. The accessory is reportedly still available from Apple in some countries, including France, Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden.

Given how popular wireless headphones are and that Apple has pretty much entirely transitioned all of its devices and accessories to USB-C, this isn't surprising, but it's still the end of an era. Apple is still selling its USB-C-to-3.5mm adapter, however.
