Neil Young is setting the record straight about his upcoming appearance at Glastonbury 2025. The legendary musician took to his personal blog on Friday to say he will in fact be playing at the celebrated UK-based fest, after previously announcing he had pulled out of the commitment.

On Dec. 31, the singer-songwriter had shared a letter on Neil Young Archives announcing he would no longer play the event due to BBC's "corporate control." On Friday, Young reversed his decision.

Neil Young has confirmed that he and his band the Chrome Hearts will in fact headline this year’s Glastonbury festival, clarifying in an online statement he had received “an error in the information” that had prompted him to pull out of the festival earlier this week.

The rock star will now perform at the U.K. music festival after saying Tuesday he wouldn't be playing because Glastonbury was under the BBC's "corporate control."

Before walking back the decision, the ‘Heart of Gold’ singer-songwriter said he was turning down a headline slot at the 2025 festival because it was under the ‘corporate control’ of the BBC. He wasn’t exactly wrong,

"We were told that BBC was now a partner in Glastonbury and wanted us to do a lot of things in a way we were not interested in," Young said about the decision to not play with his new band, the Chrome Hearts.
