Penn State football's overhaul of its wide receivers room for 2025 is in full swing. The Nittany Lions' top two receivers reportedly will enter the NCAA Transfer Portal, thus making running back Nicholas Singleton the team's returning leader in receptions for next season.

Penn State landed two wide receivers in the transfer portal last month: Kyron Hudson from USC and Devonte Ross from Troy. The Lions also have three wide receivers in their current recruiting class: Matthew Outten of Portsmouth, Va.; Lyrick Samuel of New York; and Koby Howard of Davie, Fla.

Penn State football lost Harrison Wallace III and Omari Evans to the transfer portal following the Nittany Lions loss in the Orange Bowl.

Penn State football has officially lost both of their wide receivers as Harrison Wallace III enters the transfer portal. Wallace, a 6-foot-1, 198-pound receiver from Montgomery, Ala. and Pike Road High School, was second on the team with 46 receptions and 720 yards, along with four receiving touchdowns.

Penn State is going to have some major work to do to address the need for wide receiver in 2025. On the same day as Omari Evans announced he is entering the NCAA transfer portal, word broke that Penn State’s other top wide receiver is about to enter the portal as well.

With their season over, Penn State and Franklin must prepare for the future, and like most teams, that means using the transfer portal to their advantage. Unfortunately, though, they're taking a hit from it this time after safety Tyrece Mills revealed his intent to find a new program for next season.

Wide receiver has been a contentious position for Penn State football, and one of the top players at that position has decided to find a new home. Junior wide receiver Omari Evans announced that he was entering the transfer portal.
