Jan 23, 2023 · Lantern Rite is my favourite time of the year for Genshin. The only other event that comes close was the Harvest Festival. They really upped the quality too, was it the first or second one that was basically just a million fetch quests? This year it's full of fanservice with meeting all our friends and having slice of life interactions.

Jan 29, 2024 · I think everybody knows that we're going to have a lantern rite event in Genshin Impact 4.4 update which is coming in next three days. Traditionally, players can choose any 4* character from Liyue as a reward for clearing main event. It may be too early for this post but I'd like to share my opinion on what character you should pick as a reward.

Lantern Rite is supposed to be CNY in genshin and this year's really does have that CNY feel with the focus and family and the sorta reunion dinner we had. The past year ones felt far too much like big events in Liyue than CNY.

This Lantern Rite was also a beautiful story about the bonds of family and acceptance. So many moments in the Fontaine Archon Quest and other recent character quests and events handled some very serious themes in such an adult, mature and beautiful way.

A fair amount of people may not know, but while many Liyue characters are available to be interacted with during this year's Lantern Rite event, Zhongli in particular has a series of rather charming encounters that are NOT limited to his initial location outside Third-Round Knockout.

When Hu Tao called, he was standing, when we called him during two lantern rite’s ago, he was standing, and of course, every time he teleports away, he is standing. Except! When Zhongli saves him out of the chasm, he’s kneeling once again.
