This amazing silent colour cine footgae shows Teesside Air Show in full swing on Sunday 8th August 1976 Throughout the 1960s and 1970s, the Teesside Air Show was held at the former RAF Middleton St George. The airport's long runway meant Teesside was able to host aircraft that were unable to land at other UK venues. It often attracted massive crowds who flocked to the airport to see the latest planes and the skies were filled with everything from state-of-the-art fighters to First World War era
