After receiving its formal qualifications on Saturday in California, the RFS Large Air Tanker 'Marie Bashir' is now assisting CAL FIRE with their wildfire season. Our aircraft has performed six drops on the Point Fire, currently burning to the north of San Fransisco near Lake Sonoma. The Marie Bashir will continue to assist firefighters in the United States throughout their fire season, before heading back home in a few months for ours.
