**Park Alert** Brazos Bend State Park will be reopening on Tuesday, May 14th, ahead of schedule. We experienced some minor flooding, and the Brazos River hydrograph reading in Rosharon has leveled out which is indicative that water levels will start to go down early Tuesday morning. There are still some areas that will be impacted by high water, so please be mindful and respectful of the wildlife. 🚨🚨**Park Alert**🚨🚨 Due to the forecast from the hydrograph reading of the Brazos River based out of Rosharon, Brazos Bend State Park will be closed to the public starting Thursday, May 9th, through the following Thursday, May 16th. Based on the current model, we’re expecting the water in Big Creek to rise out of the banks over the next several days and into several areas of the park, which includes the camping loops, so the staff will need time to prepare for the anticipated rising waters.
