On Sunday, September 28, 2025, South Metro Fire Rescue and Littleton Police responded to an electric vehicle fire in the parking lot at 100 W. Littleton Blvd. The owner of a Nissan Leaf called 911 after their vehicle, parked at a charging station, began smoking. Crews from Engine 11 confirmed the batteries were in thermal runaway, quickly escalating into a fully involved fire. As a precaution, multiple nearby businesses downwind of the smoke were evacuated.
