ON THIS DAY, September 23rd, 1991, KYUSS released their debut album, Wretch, through Dali Records. Wrtech does not reach the lofty heights Kyuss set with their subsequent two albums, but it's ground zero for a band that blazed a trail through the early '90s rock scene. All the elements are in place, gargantuan riffs, tight grooves and searing vocals delivered with the depth and breath of a desert plain. They were used to playing their music under the open sky, surrounded by the same endless dese
