In November 2022, Deputy Martinez participated in a training run while attending the LASD Academy. Tragically, Class #464 was struck by a vehicle, gravely injuring Deputy Martinez. Today the #LASD SEB Air Rescue 5 Crew had the pleasure of reuniting with the 6 year old boy and his family who nearly lost his life on an off road motor cycle accident. About a month ago, the 6 year old boy suffered serious injuries during the accident. The SEB Air Rescue 5 crew treated and airlifted the boy to the hospital.
