👏We’re very excited to be part of a project to help protect Newcastle’s only urban sand martin colony. A specially designed bird box with 48 nesting holes, has been installed at one of our sites along the Ouseburn.🐦 Led by @WildIntrigue, as part of their Wild Ouseburn project, the nest was crowdfunded by the local community and is now ready and waiting for the return of the migrating sand martins as they travel all the way from Africa.
