Treblinka uprising survivor Kalman Taigman entered the extermination camp holding his mother's hand. But she was quickly pulled away and murdered. On this day 80 years ago, August 2, 1943, after almost a year of torment, Kalman left Treblinka watching a Nazi flag burn from a fire the uprising had set.
