WATCH: More than 80 years ago, the Women's Royal Canadian Naval Service was established. The members came to be known as "Wrens." They paved the way for women to join the naval reserve in 1951 and the regular navy in the late 1950s. The pioneer Wrens were honoured with a garden party at Halifax’s naval museum Thursday to mark the founding of the service and to keep their mportant history alive. | Global Halifax
